Hot Milk Cake

4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups sugar
1/4 lb butter
2 teaspoons baking powder

Bring milk and butter to a boil. Set aside. Beat the eggs well. Add the sugar. Beat well. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture. Add the milk mixture and vanilla extract to the batter. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
