Taco Bell’s Cinnamon Twists recipe

Yield: 1 servings

5 Eggs yolks; well beaten
5 tb Sour cream
5 tb Sugar
1 tb Almond extract
1/4 ts Salt
2 1/2 c Flour

Combine all, adding each item as listed, and enough
more flour so that dough is no longer sticky, but
still very soft. Roll small portions of dough at a
time to paper-thin. Use lightly floured working
surface. Cut into strips 2″x5″ and arrange in single
layer on oiled cookie sheets. Bring enough oil to 400~
in deep heavy saucpan, at least 3″ deep. As you drop
the dough into oil, make a 1″ slit down center of each
and draw the opposite ends of the strip through the
slit. They’ll fall to the bottom but will surface in a
few seconds as they brown, about 2 minutes. Lift out
with tongs and drop into large grocery sack containing
about 1 lb of 10-X powdered sugar.

  • I was told to cook the noodles at 364 degrees for 29 seconds I did they came out hard as a rock. I even cooked them first, I did them two different ways still no good, still need to buy them to eat if I want something sweet

  • its like the rice crispy recipe. just formed in the shape of dehydrated rotini noodles. so the main thing here should be RICE not so much flour thats y it failed for the one person.you need a nodle makeing machine but to find the rice crispy recipe and just cut in strips and twist

  • I know this may sound stupid, but when you say rotini noodles, you mean the ones you buy fresh, not the big hard ones you buy in a box right?

  • uhh, he's right i worked at taco bell... and i tried rotini.. but i had whole grain, so i failed

  • Agnes is absolutely correct. I worked there many years ago, too, and they do use rotini noodles w/cinnamon & sugar and are dropped into a big deep fryer.

  • as a former employee, well... you're doing it wrong.

    get some rotini noodles, deep fry them, and then sprinkle cinnamon sugar on them as they come out of the fryer.
